Police Raid Jet In Drugs Bust!

I’ve today learnt from a mate that there were police raids in Jet Metropolitan Club over the past three nights. Acting on the tip-off, the police raided the club in an attempt to find and nick the apparent many pillheads getting mashed in the House section of the club.

For three consecutive nights starting Thursday, the police turned up in a good number, took control of the club, switched off music, turned the lights up before forcing random urine tests on dodgy looking clubbers, a couple of whom ended up testing positive for narcotics, mostly ecstasy. This has unfortunately but predictably led to the order to temporarily shut the club down until the police probe into alleged drug trade is completed.

I wasn’t there myself but was well gutted to learn this story as Jet is one of my favourite bars in Ekamai. I really haven’t much to say but just hope they can work things out so the club can reopen again in the near future. Any update on the story I will let you know soonest.

    thanks for the update… also, do you know what’s going on at song saleung? i can see it from my balcony and for the last week or so the lights have been off every night. it looks like they’re digging up the road in front of it so maybe they are refurbishing?

    hi there

    I’ve heard they’ve relocated to and/or merged with Escudo bar to save costs because after all they’re run by the same management or something apparently the competition from those few bars in Ekamai has been pretty stiff

    I was there on the Friday night that they raided it. They came in at about midnight, was pretty laid back. I had a good laugh with the coppers. Rumor had it at the time that they were raiding all the clubs around Ekkamai, so my mates and I just headed to RCA instead :( Funny that one of the girls I was with completely disappeared once the cops came, interesting stuff…
