Jet Club (Ekamai)
Right, yesterday the alcohol ban thankfully came to end so everyone was pretty much on the same mission: going out and getting smashed! To begin with, I went out for a beer with some mates despite it chucking it down big time. Normally I wouldn’t have bothered getting rained on but I was too gasping and a close mate just returned home the previous night so needed to catch a beer. After a bit of a pub crawl down Sukhumvit Road, we went off to join another group of mates in this spanking new ‘Jet’ bar in Soi Ekamai (again). Here’s my review:
The decor: The architecture of the club is marvellously impressive with a very grand exteriror as well as a highly mesmerising interior. There are two separate rooms to cater for different musical tastes - the main hall for those into live music and the smaller room for hiphop and trance fans.
The music: In the main big room where most people are crammed together, live Thai music is the main course supplemented every hour or so by some rather familiar-sounding hiphop tunes by the DJ while the other smaller room has a somewhat good mix of hiphop and trance as an alternative.
The crowd: If you hate Nunglen, Curve or other clubs in Ekamai in general, you won’t like Jet too much because, yes mate, it can get absolutely rammed and when I say rammed I really do mean it. Apparently, you’ve got to arrive as early as 7pm - like my mates - in order to secure a table if you go there at weekends. Yes, it is that popular, especially among the hiso! I’ve even heard Nunglen is not that busy no more because everyone’s found a better alternative in Jet and I can see why. There’s more than enough fit birds for everyone to try their luck on and some of them can be extremely ‘friendly’ - all my mates from last night will confirm this
The price: Whiskey 1300 baht (Chivas), mixers 60 baht, beer (Heineken) 150 baht
Here’s some pics for your viewing pleasure:

All in all, it’s a wicked club and unless you’re a grumpy old man, I recommend you check it out sooner rather than later!

Tom why don’t you mention about those tricks that you use to hunt girls. Obviously, there would be pretty useful to help any others. By the way nice way of introducing the place. How about Nunglen when are you gonna introduce ?
