Bangkok Guru

Hi all

This is my first personal blog post EVER! I’d always wanted to have my own blog but just couldn’t be arsed creating one due to a couple of reasons - some are more excusable than others of course

Prior to this, I’d contributed articles/posts - both for fun and a bit of money - to websites and blogs so that’s some writing portfolio for me! Also, I’d like to thank Chris who encouraged me to start this blog, sorted out the domain and got Wordpress installed for me - all in exchange for his super-massive online mag banner to be displayed on my blog. Cheers mate, I owe you one!

I still ain’t got no clear-cut direction as to where this blog should go i.e. what should be about but as the name suggests, it will most likely be about a young lad who knows a thing or two about his hometown Bangkok and wants to share his views with anyone and everyone stumbling upon his stupid blog.

Funnily enough though, the word ‘guru’ in Thai (กูรู้) actually means ‘I bloody know it’ if pronounced in a Thai chavvy manner. By no means am I trying to suggest I’m the most qualified expert on Bangkok though. And for sure my posts won’t be limited to Bangkok-related issues. I will write about absolutely anything and everything
