Curve Bar, Ekamai

This recently opened bar derives its name from its eye-catching architecture. It’s located in the middle of soi Ekamai opposite Health Land and about a hundred metres away from another busy club Nunglen

The decor: Thanks to its crescent-shaped design, Curve offers a somewhat refreshing alternative to the conventional box layout adopted by most clubs in Bangkok. The huge stage sits nicely in the middle which is why it’s the prefect spot to view both ends of the hall. At one end, there’s also another room with a rather different musical selection.

The music: As with most Thai nightclubs, house bands play mainly Thai music - mostly love tunes - while the DJ plays current and not too current hip hop and R&B hits.

The crowd: Naturally for a club in the Ekamai/Thonglor area, Curve can get absolutely packed at weekends with hundreds of youngsters forcing their way into the bar. That said, Curve is thought to attract a considerable number of good-looking hi-so Thais as well as celebs - you can tell that by looking at the many super cars showcasing in the parking area outside!

The price: Whiskey 1300 baht (Red Label), mixers 60 baht, beer (only Corona and Singha) 150 baht

    Great club, saw Body Slam there mid July. Hope to get back soon but there’s so many places to see so much to do, aaaaaaah!
