Jet Club (Ekamai)

Posted in Bars

Right, yesterday the alcohol ban thankfully came to end so everyone was pretty much on the same mission: going out and getting smashed! To begin with, I went out for a beer with some mates despite it chucking it down big time. Normally I wouldn’t have bothered getting rained on but I was too gasping [...]

Sexy Hair Bands - Or Not?

If you live and commute to and from work on public transport - specifically the BTS sky train- in Bangkok like me, you’ve probably noticed the latest headgear fashion recently popular among young girls - the hair band. These fashionable hair bands come in many different forms and colours and are worn mainly by the [...]

This Is Boring!

Posted in Bangkok, My Thoughts

The nationwide alcohol ban has started today and lasts until 12pm Friday night. I fully understand that Thailand is strictly a Buddhist country and we’re now in the middle of one of the most important festivals (Buddhist Lent) and all Buddhists should celebrate it by visiting the temple and refraining from drinking alcohol.

He is to replace the old manager who resigned after failing to take Thailand to the 2010 World Cup (again). I [...]

We Love Beer Lao, the Thai Government Doesn’t

Posted in My Thoughts

Last night I learnt some terrible news for all beer drinkers in Thailand: Plans to market and sell Beer Lao freely throughout Thailand have been put on hold until 2011. That’s a torturing 3 years we’ll have to wait before we can drink this fine beer as and when we please!

Lao Brewery had long planned [...]

Thai Film Review - Friendship เธอกับฉัน

Posted in Thai Film

OK yesterday after work I was bored stiff so I popped by the local cinema to see if there’s anything interesting on show. Well, there was this Hancock film whose teaser trailer looked quite cool with Will Smith saving a whale by heaving it out to sea. OK you know what I’m talking about. [...]

My Fridge

Posted in My Thoughts

Today I went to my local Tesco to do a bit of shopping and this is what it usuall leads to at the beginning of each month:

Quite a bit of stuff there but trust me it won’t last long at all, especially those golden cans that always go first before anything else!

My First and Only PC!

Posted in My Thoughts

Today I was looking at some old pictures taken over the past couple of years. They’re so reminiscent of my adolescence. And this particular pic I took back in 2002, if my memory serves correctly, reveals what my first and only PC and the workstation looked like!

At the time of the purchase, it was no [...]
